This morning some people got up at 8am and went for a canoe paddle down the Orange River. It didn't really interest me since I am a terrible canoer and Namibia has been flooding for a couple weeks and the river is high, fast and dirty. I took some pictures and checked out the campground and met some of my people.
Around 11 our canoers were back so we had lunch. So far the meals have been pretty normal. Sandwiches for lunch and regular suppers. After lunch we packed up the truck and hit the road for another 5 hour drive to the worlds second largest canyon (Grand Canyon is the largest). It's still pretty hot out but we get a couple short bursts of rain as this is the end of the rainy season.
On the way to the canyon we saw wild Ostriches and a few Zebra but I was too excited to snap a good picture. I know I'll have lots of chances in the weeks to follow.
