Another long day of driving but at least we made it to Lake Malawi AKA The Lake of the Stars! Bad weather was rolling in so I got a room with 4 other girls. Next thing I know I’m suffering my first hangover in Africa, fortunately I was smart enough not to book anything for the morning and I seem to be in better shape than the other 4 and one of them wasn’t even drinking and she’s still feeling like crap this morning!
Last night the most amazing storm rolled in across the lake, which is HUGE! In fact it looks like the ocean. You can’t see shores in any direction. The lightning was amazing and we were in a beach bar with no windows. The power kept going out so we slaughtered as many songs as we knew and danced on the bar. At home I think they would close the bar, here they want you to drink more and stay longer so that all the cold drinks get drunk! Just light candles and get a round of shots!
